THE CLUB

As an affiliate of the Association of Former Students, the club is dedicated to supporting the interest of Texas A&M University. The club will organize and host programs and activities to provide its members with the opportunity to renew friendships formed during the student days at the university.

The Abilene A&M Club meets for lunch the first Wednesday of every month at 11:45am at the Abilene Country Club, 4039 S. Treadaway Blvd. 692-2583. The cost is $12.00, and the dress is casual.

Aggie Social Hours are usually held after work on the third Thursday of the month, and the location is announced in the newsletter. This is a great time to get together with other Aggies and unwind from the workday.

The Club will organize and host Aggie Muster each year on April 21st. The location will change from year to year, so check with the Association website for this year’s current information on speaker, location and cost to attend. Our Muster is usually a social hour followed by dinner and then the Muster Ceremony.

The Club will also host a golf tournament in early summer that assist in our scholarship fundraising activities.  The major fund raising activity is the Aggie French Fry booth each year at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo in September. That represents your best opportunity to get involved in the local club.
